Our Health Mission
Our mission as healthcare providers to administer the highest quality of care to every one of our patients. We do so through effective collaboration between all members of our practice, including our outstanding interns.
Internship Mission
The United Medical Doctors and San Diego Neurosurgery Internship has two core missions:
One : train our Interns to deliver excellent patient care.
Two : get every Intern who becomes Staff into medical school or other schools in the medical field. We are committed to both missions equally.

Kevin Yoo, MD is a neurosurgeon specializing in spinal procedures.
Kaye Elamparo, NP is a nurse practitioner specializing in neurosurgery.

Our members work part-time and full-time as leads in our Clinic and Surgery departments. They also work directly for San Diego Neurosurgery and other providers under United Medical Doctors.

Our head interns have completed the 9-month internship program and now assist leads in the Clinic and Surgery departments. They delegate tasks to interns and serve as mentors for new members of the practice.

Head Interns
Interns support the daily operations of the practice and are essential to providing excellent medical care. The work on tasks in the Surgery and Clinic departments while also developing the core competencies of a medical school applicant.
College / University Credit
All interns in the San Diego Neurosurgery and United Medical Doctors Internship MUST receive course credit from their university for the full duration of the internship in order to participate. Please provide proof of ability to receive credit upon applying.
